INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER CONTRACTOR (REMOTE)

Working at eLearning Innovation, you will work independently; set your own schedule and work remotely as a contractor PLUS work on projects that deliver customized elearning experiences for both academic and corporate students.

EI is currently looking to increase our pool of virtual (1099) contractors. We are looking for instructional designers and multimedia developers. We prefer candidates that have a combination of instructional design and multimedia skills.

The Instructional Designer’s Primary Responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform course design, development, and implementation through the development cycle of a project
  • Recommend and applies innovative pedagogy and instructional design best practices that focus on the learner’s experience for effective online delivery
  • Design instructional materials, real world assessments, and interactive elearning experiences
  • Remain current on trends within the online learning field, and appropriately recommend, select and/or develop learning opportunities using emerging technologies and authoring tools
  • Adhere to accessibility standards
  • Provide timely feedback and support in Instructional Design to the SME/stakeholders
  • Develop supporting documentation, materials, and templates
  • Review design materials and provide feedback from a content and technical perspective
  • Ensure course deliverables meet client guidelines and are at a defined quality level
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on developed materials
  • Develop courses in a variety of LMS platforms including, but not limited to Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas, and Desire2Learn

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia, or other applicable field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in Instructional Design or Multimedia.
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Google Applications
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and comes to tasks as a problem solver
  • Meets project deadlines and deliverables.

MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPER CONTRACTOR (REMOTE)

The Multimedia Developer’s Primary Responsibilities will be to:

  • Design and develop eLearning projects using multimedia eLearning software that meet SCORM and AICC compliance standards and sound instructional development principles.
  • Work with clients and team members to bring projects from concept to completion.
  • Create innovative artifacts using audio and/or video editing software.
  • Develop narration scripts, storyboards, and other media assets for eLearning projects
  • Provide recommendations for media and graphic design and development for specific projects.
  • Identify effective and current eLearning technologies to enhance online teaching/learning experiences
  • Leverages appropriate software for multimedia production
  • Offer technical, creative, and UX/UI recommendations for the functionality of course content that aligns to the target audience
  • Work in both MAC and PC environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia, or other applicable field. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proficient in software technologies including, but not limited to: Articulate Storyline, Camtasia Studio, Adobe Creative Suite including Captivate, iSpring Suite, and HTML5.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
  • Experienced in CSS and JavaScript.
  • Adheres to accessibility standards.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and comes to tasks as a problem solver.
  • Meets project deadlines and deliverables.
