The US Army needed a highly interactive, self-paced program to teach trainers the benefits of experiential learning methods. As a result, we provided the following:
- Training Development: In a collaborative partnership with Academic Consortium for Global Education and Doublejump Interactive, we developed a scenario-based training which included online and face-to-face components.
- Multimedia: Our team developed interactive multimedia components that were scenario-based, designed around running the famous Marathon des Sable.
- Instructional Design: We designed a series of challenges linked to the learning so that successful completion of this training would result in success in the race.
- Production Services: We provided technical support and setup and delivery of SCORM content in Blackboard.
Final Product: The outcome was a highly engaging experience that pushed the limits of technology available at the time, and pushed the limits of how students can learn online through a simulated, game-like experience.
